Recently I went to a small art exhibition with Mrs. Hatanaka and Sato sensei. It was on in Itabashi. I've been to Itabashi many times before because the head office of my old company is there. But, this was my first time going to an exhibition there.

The artist's name is Ellie Okamoto, and she is a graduate of Friends School. I don't know her, but Mrs. Hatanaka was her teacher.

Her paintings are oil paintings and the colours are very strong and vibrant. The flow of the painting is very interesting. She uses lots of animals and trees. They are very realistic - they don't look like just pictures. She's a very talented artist

At the exhibition, we saw about 10 pieces - 3 were pencil sketches, 2 were paintings on wood, and the others were big oil paintings. There were all amazing!! I'm excited to see what the future holds for my students now!! I think there are lots of very talented students at FGS, and I look forward to seeing what they do in the future.
Translated by M.A 高1
