Last year in May, I spent 5 days in Aarhus City, Denmark with Friends Fab. About 120 teams from all over the world took part in this competition.
去年の５月、フレンズファブの生徒たちと5日間デンマークのオーフスに行きました。世界中から約120チームがこの大会に参加しました。
Each team had a booth where they explained their topic to visitors and played games or gave away free candy. Our group made special light up necklaces which were very popular with everyone. They talked with people from Brazil, Korea, Spain, Montenegro, France, Denmark, Norway and so on. It was really cool to see so many different people talking together in English and having fun together. The social aspect of this contest was great. We even had a friendship evening where we watched some groups do performances.
この大会では、それぞれのチームがブースをもっています。そこでは、自分たちの調べたプロジェクトを他のチームの人に発表したり、ゲームをしたり、アメや缶バッジなどを配ります。私たちのグループは、とても人気のあった光る特別なネックレスを作りました。また、私たちはブラジル人、韓国人、スペイン人、モンテネグロ人、フランス人、デンマーク人、ノルウェー人などの異国の人たちと話すことができました。英語で異国の人たち同士が話したり、一緒に楽しんでいる姿を見て、とてもかっこいいと思いました。この大会での交流はとても良い経験になりました。また、私たちは「フレンドシップイブニング」というイベントでたくさんのグループのパフォーマンスを見ました。
