　Yesterday in CCU we had a guest from Syria. Her name is Aya and she's 24 years old. She was born in Damascus and studied Japanese at the University of Damascus. She loves animation - her favourite one is Conan. In Syria, Japanese animation is very popular. They watch it on TV with English or Arabic subtitles.  Her favourite food is sushi. She wants to be a translator or an interpreter. She has a brother who is 17 years olds. He likes Japanese anime, too.
先日CCUでシリアからのゲストを私たちは迎えました。彼女の名前はアヤで彼女は２４才です。彼女はダマスカスで生まれ、ダマスカスの大学で日本語を勉強しました。彼女はアニメが大好きです。彼女のお気に入りの１つはコナンです。シリアではアニメがとても人気です。彼らはテレビで英語かアラビア語の字幕で見ます。彼女のお気に入りの食べ物は寿司です。彼女は翻訳者か通訳者になりたいです。彼女は１７才の弟がいます。彼も日本のアニメが好きです。

　Right now she is an intern in Japan - she is here alone. She's worried about her family - it's not safe for them. Five years ago the civil war began in Syria, and now there are many bombings from Russia who are trying to get ISIS. The majority of deaths are regular people who live in the cities. She wants to go back to Syria after the war, but when will that be?
ちょうど今、彼女は日本でインターンをしています。彼女はここで1人きりです。彼女は彼女の家族を心配しています。シリアは彼らにとって安心ではありません。５年前、シリアで内戦が始まり、そして今はISISをとらえようとするロシアからの沢山の爆撃があります。死者の多くは都市に住んでいる一般人です。彼女は戦争は終わった後シリアに戻りたいです。しかし戻れるのはいつになるでしょうか？

　We need to realise that even though this is all happening in Syria it's not so far away. We need to think about what to do, we have a responsibility to help.
